SmallRig 3272B SSD Clamp For Cage BMD Cinema Camera 6K w/ Samsung T5 / T7 / T9 | Keep your SSD with the camera rig

Without an SSD clamp, the drive in a camera setup can end up loose beside the camera instead of having a designated place on the rig. The SmallRig 3272B is made for the cage of the BMD Cinema Camera 6K and for use with Samsung T5, T7 and T9 SSDs. It suits filmmakers who use one of those drives as part of their camera setup and want it held alongside the camera, rather than left to shift around separately. Its purpose is specific: this is a tripod accessory for managing an SSD on the named camera cage, not a general storage solution. That makes it most relevant for a rig that regularly includes an external drive, especially when setting up on a tripod and keeping the camera package together matters. If your drive and camera match the listed combination, this clamp gives the SSD a dedicated place in that setup.

Specialist Note

On a BMD Cinema Camera 6K tripod rig, I’d use this clamp to give the SSD a proper place beside the camera, rather than letting it sit separately on the support or table. The key detail is the named cage: this is designed around that camera setup, so it’s a focused option rather than a universal drive holder. It’s also specified for Samsung T5, T7 and T9 drives, which makes it easy to narrow down if one of those is already part of your recording kit. For a locked-off interview or product shot, that dedicated position helps keep the drive with the rig. Just bear in mind how specific the compatibility is.
