SmallRig 3667C Cage For Sony Alpha 7R V / 7 IV / 7S III / 1 / 7R IV / 7 V
SmallRig 3667C Cage For Sony Alpha 7R V / 7 IV / 7S III / 1 / 7R IV / 7 V | A cage accessory for tripod-based camera setups
Without a cage, you’re working with the camera body on its own. The SmallRig 3667C is a camera cage for building a setup around one of the specific Sony Alpha models named in its compatibility list. It’s classed as a tripod accessory, so it’s relevant if you’re planning a camera arrangement for tripod-based work rather than simply looking for a general camera accessory. This suits photographers and video makers who want a cage as part of a considered setup, and who already know which camera body they’re using. Its strongest point is that clear, model-specific fit: you can match the cage to your camera by name instead of guessing from a broad system label. That makes it worth considering for a fixed interview setup, a product-shoot station or other work where you return to the same camera arrangement.
Specialist Note
Will the 3667C fit my Sony Alpha body? It’s listed for the Alpha 7R V, 7 IV, 7S III, 1, 7R IV and 7 V, so match your exact model to that list. I’d consider it when you want a cage in a tripod-based setup—for instance, to keep a product-shoot arrangement centred on the same camera body, or to prepare a fixed interview position. The cage format is the point here; this isn’t a tripod itself. One practical caveat: the fit list is specific, so don’t assume another Alpha model is covered just because it belongs to the same camera family.
