Built for filmmakers who want dependable protection and flexible rigging options, the SmallRig 5588 Cage Kit for Sony FX2 adds a practical layer of support to your setup while improving comfort when using the XLR handle. The kit includes a cage, top plate, XLR handle extension, wrist strap, HDMI cable clamp, and hex key.

Engineered with precision cutouts, the cage keeps the camera’s tilting EVF, buttons, and ports easy to reach, so you can work without restriction. The XLR handle extension increases the gripping surface for better handling, while also providing integrated 1/4"-20 threads for monitor mounts and other accessories.

The removable top plate features a NATO rail and is designed to work with Sony’s XLR top handle or SmallRig’s rotating top handle (ID 4152) without blocking the EVF. Multiple mounting options on the cage include 1/4"-20 threads, 3/8"-16 ARRI locating holes, and a HawkLock NATO rail for quick attachment of compatible accessories such as side handles and top handles.

A cold shoe mount gives you room for accessories like the DJI Mic 2 or LED lights, and a QD socket on the base supports shoulder straps for easier carrying. The base also includes a magnetic hex key for fast assembly and removal.

With the included lower quick release plate and HawkLock H38 Arca-Swiss plate (ID 4486), you can move quickly between handheld, tripod, and gimbal setups. This system is compatible with DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, and RS 4 Pro stabilizers. An included HDMI cable clamp helps keep your connection secure during use.
