The SmallRig 5656 Cage for Canon EOS C50 is designed to give your camera added protection while opening the door to a highly adaptable setup. Its wraparound structure helps shield the camera body from knocks and bumps, so you can focus on shooting with confidence.

Thanks to the modular design, the NATO rail can be removed quickly when you want to use Canon’s original XLR handle. This makes it easy to switch between different shooting configurations without slowing down your workflow.

Secure connections and accessory support

A dedicated HDMI cable clamp keeps your connection firmly in place, helping prevent accidental disconnection and supporting stable data transmission during recording.

The cage includes multiple 1/4"-20 threaded points and mounting holes for accessories such as side handles and magic arms, plus 3/8"-16 ARRI-style mounting points for attaching monitor mounts or top handles. Integrated cold shoe mounts provide space for accessories like microphones or lights, while the lower QD socket supports QD shoulder straps. Built-in strap slots also allow you to add wrist straps or shoulder straps for extra carrying convenience.

With so many mounting options, the cage makes it easy to build a compact or fully expanded professional rig around a single camera.

Quick mounting with Arca-Swiss compatibility

The base features a built-in Arca-Swiss quick release plate, allowing fast attachment to Arca-type tripods or compatible DJI gimbals. This makes setup faster and helps you move smoothly between handheld, tripod, and stabilized shooting.

A magnetic dual-purpose wrench is included for convenient assembly and disassembly.
