SmallRig 5985 L-Shaped Mount Plate w/ Wooden Handle For Fujifilm X-E5 (Black)
SmallRig 5985 L-Shaped Mount Plate w/ Wooden Handle For Fujifilm X-E5 (Black) | A more tactile setup for your X-E5
A small camera can feel a little too bare when you want a more defined place to hold it. The SmallRig 5985 pairs an L-shaped mount plate with a wooden handle, giving the Fujifilm X-E5 a more distinctive, tactile setup. It’s a tripod accessory for X-E5 owners who want a handle as part of the camera’s everyday feel, rather than a plain-looking plate. The wood brings a natural material into the setup, while the plate’s L-shaped form gives it a clear, purposeful profile. That makes this a considered addition for street photography, days out, or simply keeping your camera ready to pick up at home. It’s best suited to photographers who enjoy a more individual camera setup; the wooden handle is a visible design choice, not a hidden accessory.
A considered addition to your camera setup
This is a product for changing the feel and appearance of your X-E5, not its image-making capabilities. If you like the camera as it is and want the least noticeable accessory possible, the handle’s wood and defined shape may not be for you. But if you’d enjoy a more distinctive point of contact on the camera, the combination has a clear purpose. The black finish keeps the plate visually restrained, while the wooden handle brings the warmer contrast. It’s a straightforward way to give your Fujifilm setup a more personal character without making claims about changes to image quality or camera controls.
Specialist Note
For a one-camera, two-hour walk around town, I’d consider this for an X-E5 setup that you want to feel more individual. The wooden handle gives you a natural material to hold, which makes the camera feel less like a bare, all-metal object; the L-shaped plate adds a more defined outline to the setup. I’d use it for street details or a relaxed day out, keeping the camera close and ready to bring up when a moment catches your eye. It suits X-E5 owners who enjoy a tactile, considered setup. One honest point: that visible wooden handle won’t suit everyone’s preference for a minimal-looking camera.
