The Hoya Sq100 Silver Soft does more than just soften objects in a picture by subtly reducing their sharpness. It also aims to gently enhance light sources. The key feature of the filter is its ability to accentuate the cool color tones in the picture, especially those of the light sources. This makes the filter an excellent choice for contemporary works or science fiction, as well as nighttime landscapes illuminated by artificial lights. Bear in mind that the filter does not add color tint, which means that in settings without bluish light sources, the filter will not alter the colors.
