SWIT S-7000D S-7000D | DV Battery Mount Plate For Panasonic CGA/VBD Type
SWIT S-7000D DV Battery Mount Plate | A clear match for CGA/VBD-type DV batteries
Its defining decision is a DV battery mount plate made for the Panasonic CGA/VBD type: the format is specific, so you can choose the plate around the battery family in your setup. The SWIT S-7000D is a tripod accessory for video users who need that matching battery mount in a tripod-based arrangement. It’s best suited to keeping battery format and mounting accessory aligned when planning a DV setup, rather than to someone looking for a general-purpose plate. The CGA/VBD designation is the key detail to use when selecting it. For interview recording or event coverage on a tripod, that focused role can make the accessory selection more straightforward: you’re choosing a plate for the battery type named in the product, not a broad, unspecified battery format. The product is identified as a mount plate; it isn’t described as a battery or a tripod.
A focused accessory for a specific battery type
The S-7000D sits in the tripod-accessory category, with its purpose indicated by the DV battery mount plate description. That makes the product name useful when planning a rig: it identifies both the accessory’s role and the battery type it’s intended for. Keep those two points together when deciding whether it belongs in your setup. It’s a narrow, practical piece of equipment for a defined format, not a general solution for every DV battery arrangement.
Specialist Note
Videographers filming interviews or event coverage with Panasonic CGA/VBD-type DV batteries are the people I’d point towards the S-7000D. The mount-plate design means you’re selecting a battery mounting accessory, rather than another camera or tripod part; that’s useful when you’re planning the battery position as part of a tripod setup. Its Panasonic CGA/VBD type is the deciding match, so keep that format in mind when choosing it for a rig. I’d consider it for a fixed interview position or a tripod-based event setup where the battery mount needs to suit that battery family. The honest limitation is its specific format: it’s for the named type, not a universal battery plate.
