Telesin ND64-Filterset For Insta360 X6 - 2-pack
Telesin ND64-Filterset For Insta360 X6 - 2-pack | Tame bright light for smoother motion
Smoother-looking motion in bright conditions is the main reason to use the Telesin ND64-Filterset for Insta360 X6. An ND64 filter reduces the light reaching the camera, giving you room to use a slower shutter speed when the scene is very bright. That can help action footage look less sharply frozen from frame to frame, and it can also help when you want a longer exposure for moving subjects. This two-pack is aimed at Insta360 X6 owners who want that exposure control without changing cameras or waiting for softer light. It’s most useful outdoors in strong daylight; in dim conditions, an ND64 may leave too little light for the shutter setting you want. Think of it as a specific tool for bright scenes, rather than something you’ll want on the camera for every shot.
Using ND64
ND64 indicates a strong reduction in light: six stops. That gives you more scope to slow the shutter in bright surroundings, which is helpful when you’re aiming for a more natural sense of motion in video or a longer exposure in a still image. The result depends on the light and the exposure settings you choose, so it’s worth treating the filter as a way to gain control, not as a preset look. In shade or after the light drops, you may need to remove it or adjust your exposure to avoid an image that’s too dark.
Specialist Note
The Telesin ND64-Filterset for Insta360 X6 is best for controlling harsh daylight when you want motion to look less abrupt. ND64 cuts the light by six stops, so you can work with a slower shutter in bright scenes rather than letting the camera expose with a very fast shutter. I’d consider it for outdoor action clips or a still where you want moving water or traffic to blur; set the exposure for the effect you want, then check that the image isn’t too dark. It’s made for the Insta360 X6, so it suits owners of that camera. The honest trade-off is that this strong reduction is less helpful when the light is already low.
