TetherTools TetherPro Optima 10G USB-C 31' (9.4m) Straight To Right H

TetherTools TetherPro Optima 10G USB-C 31' (9.4m) Straight To Right H | Long reach for tethered setups

The 31-foot length is the defining choice here: it gives a tethered setup room to stretch between the camera position and the other end of the cable, rather than keeping them close together. The TetherTools TetherPro Optima 10G USB-C is for photographers who need that extra reach in a working space. Its stated length is 9.4 metres, so you can plan a longer cable run than a short desk-side connection allows. That extra distance is useful when the shooting position and the rest of the setup can’t sit side by side. It’s a cable, not a complicated accessory, and its value comes down to whether this length and connector arrangement suit the way you work. One practical point: a long cable gives you more freedom to place equipment, but it also needs a considered route through your space.

The connector description is “Straight To Right H”, indicating that the two ends have different orientations. That detail can matter when a cable needs to leave one connection straight and approach the other from a particular direction. The product name identifies USB-C and a 10G designation; it doesn’t give a more detailed explanation of that rating, so I’ve kept it as stated rather than assigning it a specific transfer rate. This is a focused option for a tethered workflow where the cable’s reach and end layout are the deciding details. If you’re choosing between cable lengths, think about the actual route from end to end, including where the cable needs to turn. Extra length can help with placement, but it won’t make an awkward route disappear.

For a neat working setup, map the cable path before connecting everything. The straight-to-right-H layout is the point to consider alongside the overall run: orientation at each end can affect how the cable sits in your particular arrangement. Keep the choice grounded in those two practical questions—how far apart the endpoints are, and which direction each cable end needs to take. That’s the useful way to judge this model, rather than choosing on length alone.
