TetherTools TetherPro USB-C To USB-C 15' (4.6m) Black

TetherTools TetherPro USB-C To USB-C 15' (4.6m) Black | Connect a Phase One camera to your computer

A cable with the wrong connector can interrupt a tethered setup before the session gets going. The TetherTools TetherPro USB-C To USB-C 15' (4.6m) Black has a USB-C connector at each end, for a direct connection between a laptop or PC and a Phase One camera. Its 4.6-metre length gives you more scope to position the computer away from the camera than a short lead does, while keeping the camera and computer linked by one cable. That makes it suited to a studio tethering station, a camera connected to a nearby laptop, or a setup where the computer needs to sit further along the work surface. Tether Tools specifies this cable for Phase One cameras, so the intended connection is clear. The manufacturer’s description also points to high USB specifications, with the aim of reducing signal noise and transmission errors during data transfer. That matters when a tethered workflow depends on a steady link between camera and computer. The cable is black, and both ends use the same USB-C connector type. It’s a focused accessory rather than a universal connector kit: check that both devices in your setup have USB-C ports before choosing it.

Highlights

• USB-C at both ends: The matching connectors are intended for a direct USB-C-to-USB-C link. That’s the useful detail to check when connecting a USB-C-equipped computer and a Phase One camera.
• 4.6 metres of cable: At 15 feet, the lead can span a longer distance between camera and computer than a compact cable. That gives you more flexibility in arranging a tethered station around your shooting area.
• Specified for Phase One: Tether Tools identifies the cable for use with Phase One cameras. It’s aimed at a camera-to-computer connection, rather than being presented as a general-purpose adapter for different connector types.
• High USB specification: The cable is described as using the highest USB specifications available. Tether Tools highlights this in relation to signal noise and transmission errors, a relevant consideration when transferring data over a tethered connection.
• Black finish: The cable has a black exterior. It keeps the appearance discreet alongside other dark equipment in a computer-and-camera setup, without adding a bright accent to the cable run.
• For laptop or PC connection: The stated use is linking a Phase One camera to a laptop or PC. This makes the cable suitable for tethered work where the computer is part of the camera setup.
• One cable, matching ends: Both plugs are USB-C, so the connection does not change connector type from one end to the other. That straightforward layout is useful when the camera and computer ports match.
