Tilta ARM-T03-SV Armor Man 3.0 Support Vest
Tilta ARM-T03-SV Armor Man 3.0 Support Vest | More support for handheld video
When a camera needs extra support during handheld video, carrying on without it can make a long take feel like hard work. The Tilta ARM-T03-SV Armor Man 3.0 is a shoulder rig designed to support the camera for handheld work. It suits videographers who need to keep working with a camera away from a fixed support, especially during extended takes or sequences that involve moving between shots. Its purpose is focused: give handheld video work extra support, rather than serve as a general-purpose tripod. That makes it worth considering for interviews, event coverage or other filming where you want to keep the camera mobile but would welcome support. The product information gives no details about adjustment or camera compatibility, so I’d choose it for its stated role, not assume a particular setup. If your main need is a shoulder rig for handheld video, this is the use it’s made for.
Think about the kind of filming you do most. For a seated interview, the rig’s role is to add support while you frame a sustained shot; for an event, it’s relevant when you need to keep filming handheld as the scene changes. It won’t turn handheld shooting into tripod work, so consider whether mobility or a fixed camera position matters more for the job.
Specialist Note
“Will the Armor Man 3.0 help when I’m filming handheld for a while?” Yes—that’s exactly the job of this shoulder rig: it’s intended to give a camera extra support for handheld video. I’d consider it for interview work where you need to stay with the camera, or event coverage where you’re following changing moments rather than setting up a fixed shot. Keep its role clear: it’s a shoulder rig, not a tripod for leaving the camera in place. The 3.0 in the name is useful when identifying the exact product; the full name is Tilta ARM-T03-SV Armor Man 3.0 Support Vest. If you want more support without giving up handheld work, that’s the reason to look at this one.
