Tilta ES-T21-SP Side Plate For Blackmagic Pyxis 6K | A camera-specific tripod accessory

Without a dedicated side plate, a tripod setup can leave you looking for the right camera-specific accessory. The Tilta ES-T21-SP is a side plate for the Blackmagic Pyxis 6K, listed as a tripod accessory. It’s intended for Pyxis 6K owners building a tripod-based setup who want a part selected for that camera, rather than a general accessory with a broader purpose. Its clearest use is in a rig where a side plate is part of the setup you need; it isn’t a tripod or a complete support system on its own. That distinction matters when you’re planning what to add to your kit: this is a focused component, not a complete answer to every tripod-mounting need. If your setup is centred on the Pyxis 6K and calls for a side plate, the ES-T21-SP gives you a specific product to consider.

Specialist Note

This is a specialised part, so its appeal is deliberately narrow; that’s also why it makes sense for the right setup. The name identifies it as a side plate, and it’s intended for the Blackmagic Pyxis 6K, so you can assess it against a specific camera rather than treating it as a general tripod accessory. I’d consider it when you’re putting together a tripod-based Pyxis 6K rig for a locked-off interview or a tabletop shot. The honest limit is that it’s only one component in that setup, not a tripod or a complete rig. If a side plate is what your Pyxis 6K setup calls for, this is the focused option to look at.
