Tilta MB-T16-LFA Lightweight Filter Clamp-On Adapter
Tilta MB-T16-LFA Lightweight Filter Clamp-On Adapter | More support for handheld video
Without a shoulder rig, handheld video work relies on you to support the camera throughout the shot. The Tilta MB-T16-LFA is categorized as a shoulder rig, intended to give you extra support while filming handheld. It suits videographers who want help managing a camera during a handheld take, rather than a support solution for a locked-off shot. That makes it worth considering for an interview where you need to stay mobile, or for a short moving shot where holding the camera unsupported can become tiring. The product name also identifies it as a lightweight, clamp-on filter adapter. Those details point to a specific role in a rig, rather than a general-purpose camera support. Think about the kind of handheld work you do and the support you need from your setup before choosing it.
Specialist Note
Does the MB-T16-LFA help with handheld video? Yes—it’s categorized as a shoulder rig, so its stated purpose is to give the camera extra support while you work handheld. The lightweight description matters if you need to carry that support as part of a mobile rig; added support is less helpful if it makes your setup cumbersome. Its name also specifies a clamp-on filter adapter, so I’d consider it for a rig plan that calls for that type of component, rather than treating it as a complete camera support system. For a mobile interview or a short moving shot, use the shoulder-rig support to steady your handheld work. For a fixed, locked-off frame, a shoulder rig isn’t the tool I’d reach for.
