Tilta TK-Ah-SG Khronos Adjustable Handle - Space Grey
Tilta TK-Ah-SG Khronos Adjustable Handle - Space Grey | More support for handheld video
Without a shoulder rig, you’re relying on your hands and arms alone to support the camera during handheld video. The Tilta TK-Ah-SG Khronos Adjustable Handle is a shoulder rig for adding support to that kind of work. It suits video makers who want a more supported setup for interviews, event coverage or other handheld sequences, without switching to a tripod. The adjustable handle gives you a way to set your grip to suit how you work, while the Space Grey finish keeps the look understated. Its purpose is straightforward: help support the camera while you’re filming handheld. It’s not a promise of perfectly steady footage, and it won’t replace a tripod when you need a locked-off shot. But for handheld filming where extra support is the priority, this rig gives you a dedicated shoulder-based setup.
Where it fits
Think of this as support for takes where you need to keep the camera moving with the scene. For an interview, it can help you maintain a supported handheld position as you frame the subject; for event coverage, it suits sequences where you need to follow what’s happening rather than leave the camera fixed in place. Adjust the handle to a grip position that feels workable, then use the shoulder rig to support the camera as you film. The result still depends on your handling and movement, so this is best seen as added support, not automatic stabilization.
Specialist Note
This won’t give you the fixed, hands-off stability of a tripod, but that’s not what this rig is for. I’d consider it when you want to keep filming handheld and give the camera more support. The shoulder-rig format makes sense for following a subject through an event, while the adjustable handle lets you find a grip position that suits the way you hold the setup. There’s one handle, so keep your expectations focused on that straightforward adjustment rather than a collection of controls. For a short interview or a moving event sequence, set the grip where it feels comfortable and keep the camera supported on your shoulder as you frame.
