This TTArtisan is an 11mm ultra-wide prime for Sony E-mount cameras, with a 126° angle of view. That breadth is useful when you can’t step back from a building or want foreground details to feel prominent against a wide sweep of sky. It’s also a compelling option for night-sky photography: the f/2.8 maximum aperture lets in more light than a slower lens, giving you room to work with shorter exposures. The very wide perspective rewards careful framing; move close to a subject and it can appear dramatically larger than the background. If you enjoy shaping a picture around that effect, rather than keeping every line neutral, this lens gives you plenty of scope.

Specialist Note

11mm takes in a huge sweep of a scene, so in practice even a small shift in your position can change what fills the edges of the frame. I’d recommend it to Sony E-mount photographers who want an expressive view for landscapes, architecture or night skies. For stars, try f/2.8 with a 10-second exposure as a starting point, then adjust ISO to suit the light. Manual focus asks you to set focus deliberately; take a moment before the exposure rather than rushing the frame. Its Full Frame coverage makes sense if that’s your camera format, while the very broad view can also pull unwanted objects into the composition. Check the corners as you frame.
