TTArtisan 35mm f/1.4 Sony E-Mount | APS-C Silver

TTArtisan 35mm f/1.4 Sony E-Mount | APS-C Silver | Fast manual prime for street and travel

Instead of changing focal lengths on a zoom, this TTArtisan gives you one clear view to work with: a 35mm standard prime for Sony E-mount APS-C cameras. Its f/1.4 maximum aperture gives you room to use a wider opening in dimmer settings, while manual focus puts the point of focus under your control. That suits photographers who enjoy taking a little more time over framing and focusing, rather than expecting the lens to do it automatically. It’s especially well suited to street scenes and travel, where a single, considered viewpoint can help you respond quickly without fiddling with zoom. The silver finish gives the lens a distinctive look on your camera. With an estimated 44° angle of view, it offers a moderately tight frame for picking out a subject while keeping some of its surroundings in view.

Framing on an APS-C camera

On a Sony APS-C body, 35mm gives an angle of view comparable to about 52.5mm on full frame. That makes it a considered everyday perspective rather than a wide view: useful for isolating a detail in a street scene or making a travel photograph with a clear subject. For a broader view, you’ll need to step back where space allows.
