Ulanzi ZJ05 Microphone Arm with Desk Clamp and Cable Management | Keep your desk setup tidy

Without a microphone arm, a mic can take up space on the desk and its cable can trail across the work surface. The Ulanzi ZJ05 gives you an arm with a desk clamp and cable routing, making it a practical way to organise a fixed recording or speaking position. It suits people who record voiceovers, podcasts or online meetings from a desk and want the microphone positioned off the work surface when it’s not in use. The clamp attaches the arm to the desk, while the cable guidance helps keep the microphone lead alongside it rather than loose across your workspace. Its appeal is straightforward: a more orderly desk and a dedicated place for your microphone. It’s best for a stationary setup; the product name doesn’t tell us its reach or what microphones it fits, so don’t assume a particular size or compatibility.

Specialist Note

An arm won’t improve a microphone’s sound by itself, but the ZJ05 makes sense if desk space and cable clutter are the problems you want to solve. I’d consider it for a home voiceover position or a regular online meeting desk: clamp the arm at the desk edge, then guide the microphone cable along the arm so it’s less likely to lie across your keyboard area. The desk clamp gives the setup a fixed point, which is handy when you return to the same speaking position. It’s a focused accessory rather than a complete recording setup, so you’ll still need a microphone and a suitable way to connect it.
