Urth 39mm Magnetic Ethereal Black Mist Filter Plus
Urth 39mm Magnetic Ethereal Black Mist Filter Plus | Add a softer, atmospheric look
Without a filter, your lens gives you the scene without the added Black Mist character. The Urth 39mm Magnetic Ethereal Black Mist Filter Plus is for photographers who want to bring that look into their images, rather than relying on editing afterwards. Its name tells you the key details: it’s a Black Mist filter, it uses a magnetic fitting, and it’s sized for 39mm lenses. That makes it worth considering if you enjoy a softer, more atmospheric treatment in your photographs or video, and want a filter built around magnetic attachment. The effect is a creative choice, not a correction you need for every scene. If you prefer a clean, unchanged rendering, you may not want this look on your lens all the time. For anyone who does, it offers a direct way to make Black Mist part of the image at capture.
Specialist Note
For a 39mm lens setup where you want a more atmospheric look in portraits or evening street scenes, this is the kind of filter I’d consider keeping close. The 39mm size matters: your lens needs to take that filter size, so it’s a specific fit rather than a universal one. Its magnetic design points to attachment by magnet, which suits a habit of adding or removing a filter as you change the look you want. I’d reach for it when the Black Mist treatment is part of the image, not when I’m aiming for a plain, unaltered rendering. That creative focus is also its limitation: the look won’t suit every scene.
