Urth 52 67mm Magnetic Step Up Ring Lens Filter Adapter
Urth 52 67mm Magnetic Step Up Ring Lens Filter Adapter | Use larger filters on a smaller lens thread
The defining choice here is the step-up sizing: it takes a 52mm lens thread to a 67mm filter size, so you can use a larger filter on a lens with a smaller front thread. Urth adds a magnetic connection, making this an adapter for photographers who want a magnetic filter setup rather than a conventional screw-on connection at the filter end. It suits anyone who already has a lens with that smaller thread and wants to use filters in the larger size. Its best use is keeping your filter options flexible across a kit: leave the ring on the lens and fit a matching magnetic filter when you need it. The job is specific, and that’s the appeal. It changes the connection size; it doesn’t alter the lens or the filter’s optical effect.
Specialist Note
Filter changes can take less fiddling when the adapter is already on the lens: the magnetic design is intended to make attaching a matching filter straightforward. I’d consider it if your lens has a 52mm thread but the filters you want to use are 67mm. For a landscape setup, fit the ring first, then attach a matching magnetic filter when you’re ready to manage bright skies or reflections. The step-up sizing gives you that larger filter connection; it won’t let you use a smaller filter on the lens, so it’s worth matching the filter size to the ring before building your kit around it.
