Urth 67 77mm Magnetic Step Up Ring Lens Filter Adapter
Urth 67 77mm Magnetic Step Up Ring Lens Filter Adapter | Use a larger filter on a smaller thread
Use a larger filter on a lens with a smaller filter thread, and keep your filter setup working across different lens sizes. The Urth magnetic step-up ring is a lens filter adapter designed to bridge that size difference while providing a magnetic filter connection. It suits photographers who already use magnetic filters and want to use a larger one on a lens with a smaller thread, rather than limiting that filter to one lens size. That can make it easier to keep a chosen filter in your kit when you switch lenses. The purpose is specific: adapt the lens side to a larger filter size, with magnetic attachment as part of the setup. It’s a practical accessory for a kit built around magnetic filters, especially when the filter you want to use is larger than the thread on the lens. The size pairing is fixed, so it’s for that particular lens-and-filter combination, not a universal adapter.
Specialist Note
Owning a larger magnetic filter than your lens thread calls for can leave a good filter sitting unused; this ring bridges that gap. The step-up design is what lets you use the larger filter size on the smaller lens thread, while the magnetic connection is handy if your filters are already part of a magnetic system. I’d consider it for someone building a shared filter kit: fit the ring to the lens, then use the matching magnetic filter on that setup. It’s a focused solution, not a way to adapt every filter to every lens; the stated size pairing is the one to work with.
