The PolarPro Vario VND filter offers unparalleled control over your camera's shutter speed and frame rate, allowing for exceptional video quality in various lighting situations. This feature makes it a perfect choice for filmmakers engaged in dynamic, on-the-go shooting.
Developed in partnership with renowned photographer Peter McKinnon, this filter consists of two layers of PolarPro CinemaSeries glass, which can be rotated to fine-tune the light admission, providing an ND value from ND4 to ND32, equivalent to 2 to 5 stops of light reduction.
Thanks to its superb optical performance and low refractive index, this filter delivers true color neutrality and eliminates issues such as cross-polarization and vignetting, even for lenses as wide as 16mm. It is particularly advantageous for shooting at wide apertures (f1.4 - f2.8) on bright days, and it performs excellently in low-light conditions, enabling LOG recording at ISO settings above 400.
The filter's gold-anodized aluminum frame features a laser-engraved stop indication, allowing precise adjustments to be made effortlessly with tactile feedback—each stop provides a satisfying click, enabling you to focus entirely on capturing the perfect shot.
Defender360 Protective Case
The filter comes housed in the innovative PolarPro Defender360 protective case, which doubles as a lens cap. This design allows you to keep the filter on your lens while avoiding fingerprints, ensuring your gear remains clean. Should you accidentally touch the filter, a microfiber cloth is included for easy cleaning.
