Wooden Camera Director's Monitor Cage V3
Wooden Camera Director's Monitor Cage V3 | A considered frame for director monitoring
A director’s monitor has a clear place in the setup when it’s housed in a purpose-made cage. The Wooden Camera Director's Monitor Cage V3 is a wooden cage for a director’s monitor, aimed at filmmakers and camera teams who want the viewing screen to feel like part of the working rig rather than an afterthought. Use it around the monitor when a director is checking composition, or keep that same monitor arrangement in place while shots are reviewed between takes. The wooden construction makes the material an intentional part of the choice, and gives this accessory a different visual character from a generic, unspecified cage. The V3 name also makes it easier to refer to this exact version when discussing your setup with our team. This is a focused piece of grip gear: it provides the cage, not the monitor itself. It suits crews who already have a director’s-monitor plan and want a dedicated cage as part of it.
Specialist Note
First-time buyers can treat the material as a minor detail and focus only on getting a monitor into a cage; here, the wooden construction is a defining part of the product. That gives you a clear material and visual choice for a director’s-monitor setup, rather than an interchangeable-sounding cage. The V3 name is useful when you’re asking us about this particular version, so use the full product name when matching it to your rig plan. For a director checking framing between takes, use the cage as part of the monitor’s viewing setup; it also makes sense when keeping that screen in the review workflow. One limit to keep in mind: this is the cage, not a screen, so it works alongside a director’s monitor.
