Wooden Camera Quick Release Bridgeplate (15mm Studio)
Wooden Camera Quick Release Bridgeplate (15mm Studio) | A quick-release link between rig and tripod
Bring a camera rig to a tripod without making the tripod connection the slow part of the setup. The Wooden Camera Quick Release Bridgeplate (15mm Studio) is a tripod accessory for camera builds based around the 15mm Studio format. It suits filmmakers and camera operators who want a dedicated bridgeplate in a rig that needs to work on a tripod. Its quick-release design gives that setup a clear route from rig to tripod, while the wooden construction offers a distinctive material choice. This is a specific piece of rigging kit, rather than a general-purpose tripod accessory: the name points to both its quick-release role and its 15mm Studio format. If those match the way you’re building your camera setup, it gives you a focused option for bringing the rig onto a tripod. The product is best considered as part of that rig-to-tripod connection, not as a standalone support.
Specialist Note
This bridgeplate’s clear job is moving a 15mm Studio camera build onto a tripod through a quick-release connection, instead of treating the tripod attachment as something to rebuild each time. I’d consider it for a rig that alternates between tripod-based framing and other camera setups: attach the bridgeplate as the rig’s tripod link, then use its quick-release role when you need to make that change. The 15mm Studio designation makes it relevant to builds using that format; it’s not a reason to assume it fits every rig. The wooden construction is part of its appeal if you specifically want wood in your camera accessories. I’d choose it for this stated format and purpose, rather than on an assumption about a load rating or other unlisted performance.
