Wooden Camera Top Handle Only (Red Komodo Arca Swiss)
Wooden Camera Top Handle Only (Red Komodo Arca Swiss) | A wooden upper grip for your RED Komodo
Its defining detail is right in the name: this is a wooden top handle made for a RED Komodo setup with an Arca-Swiss connection. It suits filmmakers who want a dedicated upper grip for positioning or moving their camera, rather than another camera body or a complete support system. The handle gives you a point to hold from above, which can be useful when guiding a rig into position or carrying it between setups. Its Arca-Swiss designation makes the connection part of the product’s identity, while the RED Komodo reference tells you which camera system it’s intended for. This listing is for the handle only, so it’s best approached as a specific accessory to add to an existing setup. If you’re building around a RED Komodo and want a wooden top handle in an Arca-Swiss configuration, this keeps the choice focused.
Specialist Note
This wooden RED Komodo top handle is for giving your camera a grip from above. I’d look at it if you often need to guide the camera into position by hand: keep one hand on the handle as you move the rig, rather than reaching around the body. The wood is the detail to choose this version for; it gives the handle a distinct material feel compared with an unspecified generic grip. Its Arca-Swiss designation is equally specific, so I’d pair it with a setup that uses that connection. One practical point: this is the handle only, not a complete camera support arrangement. For a RED Komodo build where an upper grip is the missing piece, it’s a nicely focused accessory.
