Wooden Camera UVF Mount FX9 FS7 FS7MKII Pana EVA1 No Clamp
Wooden Camera UVF Mount FX9 FS7 FS7MKII Pana EVA1 No Clamp | A wooden UVF mounting option
Wood is the defining design decision here: it makes the mount’s material part of the camera build, rather than leaving it as an anonymous piece of rigging. This is a tripod accessory described as a UVF mount for the FX9, FS7, FS7MKII and Pana EVA1. It suits camera operators and crews assembling a setup around one of those systems who need a mount specifically identified for a UVF. Its clearest use is in a tripod-based camera build, where the viewfinder mounting choice is part of the rig plan. The wooden construction is the point to consider if the material and appearance of your accessories matter to how you put a camera together. This is a specific-purpose component, not a general tripod accessory: its appeal is that its name clearly identifies the intended camera systems and the UVF role.
Specialist Note
During setup, the helpful thing is having the intended role spelled out: this is a UVF mount, and the title names the FX9, FS7, FS7MKII and Pana EVA1. I’d consider it when planning a tripod-based build around one of those cameras and you want the UVF mount choice to be clear from the parts list. The wood makes the material an intentional part of that build, rather than an unspecified finish. One detail to keep in mind is “No Clamp”: don’t assume this is the clamp version when you’re selecting parts for your rig. It’s a focused option for the named systems, rather than a universal mount.
