Zep CC457 Tamigi Brown 13x18 cm

Zep CC457 Tamigi Brown 13x18 cm | A simple home for a favourite 13x18 cm photo

A loose print can end up tucked away in a drawer; a photo frame gives it a place to be seen. The Zep CC457 Tamigi is a brown photo frame in the 13x18 cm size, suited to anyone who wants to display a photograph in a defined format rather than leave it among a stack of prints. That size also gives you a clear starting point when choosing which image to print. The brown finish brings a distinct colour to the display, so it’s worth considering how it’ll sit alongside the photograph and the colours already in the room. I’d use it for one image you like seeing often: a family photograph, a travel memory or a print you’ve chosen simply because you enjoy it. There’s no need to make the choice complicated. Pick an image that works at 13x18 cm, then let the frame give it a more considered place.

Choosing a photo to display

Start with the photograph, not the frame. At 13x18 cm, a tightly cropped image may feel quite different from one with open space around its subject, so look at the composition at the intended print size before you decide. Faces, small details and the balance of light and dark can read differently once an image is printed smaller than it appears on a screen. Brown can also be a useful colour to think about when pairing the frame with an image: warm colours may echo it, while cooler colours can create more contrast. Those are visual choices rather than rules. If you’re selecting from several photographs, compare them at the same size; it’s an easy way to see which one feels right for display. The frame’s name and size make the practical part straightforward: this is the Zep CC457 Tamigi in brown, for a 13x18 cm photo.
