Zhiyun Rectangular Softbox 60x90 (Bowens Mount)

Zhiyun Rectangular Softbox 60x90 (Bowens Mount) | Shape your studio light

Without a softbox, you’re working with the light source as it is, which can leave you with less control over how the light falls on a subject. The Zhiyun Rectangular Softbox 60x90 gives you a rectangular modifier to shape and soften studio light. It’s intended for photographers who want to adjust the look of a light without changing the subject or moving to a different lighting setup. The 60x90 size gives you a defined shape to work with, while the Bowens mount is the key detail when matching it to a light. In practice, this is a straightforward studio accessory: choose it for the rectangular form and the mount, rather than expecting a collection of extra functions. One honest point: a softbox can help manage the light, but where you place it still matters.

Choosing a rectangular softbox

The rectangular shape gives you a different starting point from a bare light: you can position a broader, softened source in relation to your subject and adjust the result by moving the softbox. That makes it relevant for portraits, small product scenes and other studio work where the character of the light matters. Those are applications, not limits; the useful question is whether a 60x90 rectangular surface suits the space and framing you have in mind.

The Bowens mount also makes the light’s mount an important part of your decision. If your studio setup uses a light with a Bowens mount, this softbox is made for that connection. Its appeal is intentionally specific: a rectangular softbox in a 60x90 size, rather than a general-purpose lighting accessory. That keeps the choice simple when you already know you want this shape and mount. You’ll still need to consider your own working distance and how much room you have to position it; those affect how the light looks in your scene.
