Westcott FJ400 II Touchscreen Strobe w/ FJ Pro AC/DC Battery (400WS)

Westcott FJ400 II Touchscreen Strobe w/ FJ Pro AC/DC Battery (400WS) | A 400WS strobe with touchscreen control

When you’re choosing a light for a setup that calls for a strobe rather than a continuous source, the Westcott FJ400 II gives you two clear details to start with: it’s a 400WS strobe, and it has a touchscreen. The product title also pairs it with the FJ Pro AC/DC Battery. That makes this a specific package to consider if you’re comparing strobes by their stated power and control interface, rather than browsing for a general-purpose light. It suits photographers who already know they want a strobe and would like a touchscreen interface in the same unit. There’s no need to read more into the name than that: the meaningful facts here are the FJ400 II model, its 400WS rating, its touchscreen, and the named battery. It’s a focused option, not a description of a whole lighting setup.

One practical point when deciding: a strobe and a continuous light serve different working preferences. If you want a source that stays on while you compose, this product’s stated type is a strobe; if you’re shopping specifically for a strobe, that’s the relevant distinction. The 400WS figure gives you a useful number to compare with other lights, while “touchscreen” tells you the interface named for this model. The FJ Pro AC/DC Battery is also part of the product name, so it belongs in the comparison if you’re weighing battery-named options. I’d keep the choice grounded in those details and in how you prefer to work. Westcott’s FJ400 II is clearly identified, but there’s no reason to assume extra functions from the model name alone.
