Elinchrom Diffusor Round 125cm Quadra

Elinchrom Diffusor Round 125cm Quadra | Soften bounced light across a broad area

For a softer, broader spread of bounced light, the Elinchrom Diffusor Round 125cm Quadra gives you a large round surface to work with. It’s a 125cm diffuser in Elinchrom’s Quadra line, suited to photographers shaping light for portraits or other subjects where a gentler look is welcome. The broad circular shape can help make light feel less concentrated than a small bounce surface, which is useful when you want a softer transition from light to shadow. You can also use the size to think more deliberately about how much of the scene is being lit. It’s a straightforward accessory, and its appeal is precisely that: a sizeable round diffuser, rather than a complicated lighting system. The result will depend on your light source and surroundings, but this gives you a clear surface to work with.

In a portrait setup, a softer spread can help keep attention on expression without making the lighting feel harsh. For still-life work, the round form gives you another way to shape the character of reflections and shadow edges. The 125cm size is the detail to keep in mind when planning your setup: it calls for space, and it gives you a generous area to bounce from. Move it relative to the light and subject to explore how the result changes. The Quadra name is part of this product’s identification; the title also makes its size and shape clear. If you prefer lighting that feels controlled rather than sharply defined, this diffuser offers a simple way to experiment with a softer look.
