SanDisk G-Drive HDD 8TB - 260MB/s RW - Ultrastar Enterprise USB3.2-NM

SanDisk G-Drive HDD 8TB | Keep large files close at hand

More room for your photo and video files, without spreading them across several small drives: the SanDisk G-Drive HDD gives you 8TB of external storage. It’s aimed at photographers and other creators who want a desktop drive for a sizeable collection or a working set of files. The stated read/write speed is 260MB/s, and the connection is listed as USB 3.2-NM. That gives you a clear reference point when choosing storage for your day-to-day workflow, though actual transfer times depend on the files and setup. The drive carries the Ultrastar Enterprise name and comes in grey. Its appeal is straightforward: a large amount of storage in one external HDD, with a quoted speed you can compare against your needs. It’s a practical place to keep files you want available at your desk; for important work, keep a separate copy too.

A straightforward place for your files

Use it to bring a larger library into one place, or to make space for files that have outgrown your computer’s internal storage. With 8TB available by the product’s stated capacity, you can organise projects by shoot, client or year instead of treating every folder as a separate storage decision. That can make everyday browsing and file hand-offs feel less scattered.

The 260MB/s read/write figure is useful when comparing drives, but it isn’t a promise that every transfer will run at that speed. Large files and smaller mixed folders can behave differently in practice. Think about what you’ll store and how often you’ll move it, then decide whether this capacity and quoted speed suit your routine. If you want one external drive for a substantial collection, this G-Drive puts the key numbers up front.
