The Leitz Visoflex III is a mechanical reflex attachment developed by Ernst Leitz GmbH Wetzlar to convert Leica M-mount rangefinder cameras into single-lens reflex systems. With its flip-up mirror and M bayonet mount, the Visoflex III allows Leica M users to shoot with telephoto, macro, and bellows lenses, offering precise through-the-lens composition and focusing.
Ideal for use with cameras such as the Leica M2, M3, M4, M6, and other M-series models (excluding the M5 without modification), the Visoflex III was a popular choice for scientific, studio, and wildlife photography before dedicated SLR systems took over.
