7Ryms S.LAV 01 Lavalier Microphone 3.5mm w/ Monitoring 2.5m.
7Ryms S.LAV 01 Lavalier Microphone 3.5mm w/ Monitoring 2.5m | Keep your voice close and monitored
Without a lavalier microphone, speech is often recorded from farther away, with the speaker’s voice competing against the sound of the room. The 7Ryms S.LAV 01 is a small-format microphone for recording spoken audio, suited to interviews, video presentations and other speaker-led recordings where clear, close voice capture matters. Its monitoring provision is useful when you want to keep track of the voice as you record, rather than relying only on a listen afterwards. The 2.5m lead gives the speaker some room to move in relation to the recording device, while the 3.5mm connection makes it a straightforward option for setups with a matching microphone input. It’s best suited to a single speaker who can wear or position a lavalier near their voice. For a simple, wired way to record dialogue, the S.LAV 01 keeps the setup focused on the person speaking.
Specialist Note
Can I monitor my voice with the S.LAV 01? Yes—the product is specified as having monitoring, so it’s aimed at people who want to keep an ear on their recording while working. I’d consider it for a seated interview or a narrated video: position the lavalier close to the speaker, then use the monitoring function to keep track of the voice during the take. The 2.5m lead gives you some working distance from the recorder, though you’ll want to route it neatly so it doesn’t pull or snag. Its 3.5mm connection is a useful detail when choosing a setup, but the recording device needs a suitable microphone input. It’s a wired mic, so it suits a controlled recording space better than situations where the speaker needs to roam freely.
