During a live event, the stage manager needs to call a cue while the crew keeps working and answering in real time. The Saramonic WITALK9-4S is a four-person, full-duplex wireless intercom system with communication up to 500 metres in line of sight. Its one-ear master headset and three one-ear remote headsets form a ready-to-use crew setup, with no hub or bodypacks required. Because everyone can speak and listen at the same time, it suits production teams coordinating cues, broadcast crews sharing updates and event staff spread across a venue. The wireless range gives a team scope to work across a sizeable site, while the self-contained headset system avoids adding a central hub to the setup. For a small crew, that makes it a focused way to keep production communication together rather than relying on separate calls or hand signals. Crew Communication Features

• ClearTalk communication: The system’s ClearTalk technology is intended to keep crew conversations clear. It’s useful when several people need to share information while a production is moving quickly.
• Noise reduction and signal security: A 360-degree array of three noise-cancelling microphones, dual antennas and encryption support clear, stable, private communication, including in noisy locations with substantial RF interference.
• Two ways to expand: Add users through wired cascading for up to 30 people, or use wireless protocols for a team of up to nine. The system keeps those expansion routes clear as production needs change.
• Adjustable boom microphone: Raise the microphone to mute it automatically. This gives the wearer a direct way to pause their voice when the crew needs to listen.
• Weather protection: Every headset is IPX5 water-resistant and has Level 3 wind protection. Those protections are relevant for outdoor event work where conditions can be less predictable.
• Two ear-cushion styles: Foam on-ear and cooling-gel over-ear cushions are included, alongside a soft headband. Crew members can choose the included style that feels more comfortable over a long shift.

Good to know

The set includes eight rechargeable batteries and a 10-compartment charging station. The stated runtime is up to 15 hours for the master headset and up to nine hours for a remote headset, per charge. Batteries can be removed for charging in the station; for charging a headset directly, use its USB-C port. A full USB-C charge takes around 3.5 hours, useful when a headset needs topping up between shifts.
