SmallHD Sun Hood For 32 Production Monitors
SmallHD Sun Hood For 32 Production Monitors | Shade the screen in bright conditions
Shade a 32-inch production monitor from direct sunlight to make its picture easier to view on location. The SmallHD Sun Hood For 32 Production Monitors is made for this specific monitor size, giving crews a straightforward way to reduce the sun falling directly on the display. It suits camera operators, directors and crew members who need to check framing or review an image outdoors, where reflections and bright surroundings can make a screen harder to see. It’s also useful when a monitor is set up in a bright indoor space. The purpose is simple: provide shade around the screen, not change the image or add brightness. If you work with a 32 Production Monitor and want a more sheltered view in daylight, this is the accessory to consider.
Where it helps
Use the hood when framing a shot outside or checking a take beside the camera in daylight. For the clearest view, position the monitor so the hood shades the screen from the direction of the incoming sun. That’s a practical way to make the display easier to consult without changing your monitoring setup. The benefit is most relevant when sunlight is making the screen difficult to read; in a shaded room, you may have less need for it.
Specialist Note
This hood’s job is to shade the screen on a 32-inch SmallHD Production Monitor when daylight gets in the way. That specific monitor size matters: it’s intended for that display, rather than being a general-purpose cover you have to adapt. I’d suggest it to crews who need to check framing outdoors or review a take beside the camera; aim the monitor so the hood blocks the sun’s path to the screen. It’s a focused accessory, not a fix for a display that needs more brightness, so its value depends on where you’re monitoring. If direct sun is your problem, this is a simple solution made for the 32-inch setup.
