Caruba Lampstatief Round Voet LS R (Geveerd) 210cm Extra Zwaar
Caruba Lampstatief Round Voet LS R (Geveerd) 210cm Extra Zwaar | A sturdy floor stand for lighting setups
Getting a light into position is frustrating when the support becomes another thing to work around. The Caruba Lampstatief Round Voet LS R is a floor-standing lamp stand for photographers who want to place a light for a portrait, product setup or small video shoot. Its round foot and extra-heavy build make it suited to setups where a more substantial base is welcome. This is a practical studio-style option for a fixed lighting position, rather than a stand chosen for travelling light. You can use it to position a light above a subject or working surface, then adjust the setup to suit the scene. As a tripod accessory, it has a simple job: support your lighting while you concentrate on where the light should fall.
Placement advice
Choose the stand’s position before arranging the rest of the scene. Keeping its base outside your usual working path makes it easier to move around the subject and reach your camera or props. For a portrait, consider where the light should fall across the face; for product work, arrange the light to suit the shape and surface of the item. Small changes in position can alter the result, so make adjustments deliberately and reassess the scene.
Specialist Note
This does need a clear patch of floor, so it won’t suit every cramped corner. For a settled portrait or product-light position, though, I like the balance of its 210 cm height and spring-loaded design. You can raise the light to work above a seated subject, then lower a section with the spring-loaded construction in mind instead of treating it like a bare, unsupported drop. The extra-heavy round foot is a good reason to choose this model when you want a more substantial base. I’d consider it for a home studio or a small workspace where the light can stay put between adjustments.
