That combination suits filmmakers who want a more deliberate, cinematic frame for dialogue, portraits or carefully staged details. Its manual-focus design is made for controlled focusing during video work, rather than quick point-and-shoot adjustments. The 100mm focal length keeps attention on a subject without making the lens a general-purpose wide view, so it’s best when you can choose your position and framing. For independent productions, interviews and other planned shots, it offers a specific anamorphic look in a Sony E mount.

Specialist Note

This lens gives you an anamorphic widescreen image without using a crop as the workaround.
