PolarPro Shutter Button - Fuji X100VI - Black
PolarPro Shutter Button - Fuji X100VI - Black | Fire off-camera flash
What sets the PolarPro Shutter Button apart is its job: it’s a flash trigger and transmitter for the Fuji X100VI, made to fire flashes positioned away from the camera. It doesn’t provide light itself; it gives you a way to use off-camera flash for portraits and product photography. This suits X100VI owners who want to place light where it helps the subject, rather than rely on a flash mounted at the camera. For a portrait, position your flash to one side of your subject and use the trigger to fire it from the camera. For a small product, place the flash off to the side to bring out shape and detail. The approach is straightforward: the trigger handles firing, while you decide where the light goes. If you’re after a light source built into the trigger, this isn’t that; it’s a control for off-camera flash.
Specialist Note
A common first-time mistake is treating a flash trigger as if it changes the light; this one’s role is to fire an off-camera flash, so you still choose the position and look. It’s intended for the Fuji X100VI, which makes it a specific match for owners of that camera rather than a general-purpose accessory. The black finish keeps the look understated on the camera, but the practical reason to choose it is its transmitter function. For a portrait, put the flash to one side and trigger it from the camera; for a product shot, shift the flash around the item until its shape reads clearly. One limit to keep in mind: it triggers the flash, it doesn’t shape or soften the light for you.
