Kondor Blue KB-501ABP-QR-BK 501 Adjustable Baseplate 501 QR Raven Black
Kondor Blue KB-501ABP-QR-BK 501 Adjustable Baseplate 501 QR Raven Black | A flexible base for a 501 QR setup
Build a camera setup around a tripod and keep the baseplate as the adjustable link between them. The Kondor Blue KB-501ABP-QR-BK 501 Adjustable Baseplate 501 QR Raven Black is a tripod accessory for camera users working with a 501 QR setup. Its adjustable design gives you a way to fine-tune the baseplate position as you arrange your camera, rather than treating the mounting point as fixed. That’s particularly useful when you want a setup that can be adjusted to suit a specific camera arrangement, then used on a tripod. The name also makes its intended 501 QR format clear, so it’s best suited to people building around that setup. Raven Black keeps the finish understated alongside your other equipment. This is a focused piece of rigging gear, not a tripod or a complete support system; its value is in the adjustment it brings to a compatible setup.
Specialist Note
A fixed baseplate can leave you with little room to arrange a camera exactly as your setup needs; this model’s adjustable design addresses that specific problem. I’d consider it for a camera operator who wants to build a tripod-based rig around the 501 QR format, especially when the camera position needs fine adjustment before a shot. The 501 QR designation gives you a clear point of reference when choosing it for that kind of setup, while the baseplate itself gives you the adjustment to work with. It’s also worth keeping its role in mind: this is a tripod accessory, so it suits someone adding to an existing support setup, rather than someone shopping for a tripod.
