7Artisans 10mm f/3.5 APS-C Clicked - Sony E-Mount | Fit more into every frame

Get more of the landscape or building into your frame without having to step far back. The 7Artisans 10mm f/3.5 APS-C Clicked is an ultra-wide interchangeable prime lens for Sony E-mount APS-C cameras, with a 110° angle of view. That broad view makes it especially suited to expansive landscapes and architecture, where a narrower lens can leave out the setting around your subject. It’s also a useful way to bring foreground details into a composition while keeping plenty of the scene in view. Focus is manual, so it suits photographers who are happy to take a considered approach to focusing rather than relying on autofocus. This is a specialist wide-angle perspective, not a neutral view of every scene: where you stand and what you place near the edges will have a strong effect on the picture.

Specialist Note

First-time ultra-wide owners often try to include everything from too far away, and the main subject can end up looking small. With this 10mm, get closer to a foreground detail and use it to lead the eye into a landscape; for architecture, keep the camera level when you want the building’s verticals to look more natural. On a Sony APS-C body, the view is roughly equivalent to 15mm on full frame, so give the edges of the frame a quick check before you shoot. The clicked aperture control gives you distinct settings, and opening to f/3.5 can help when the light is fading. Manual focus rewards a deliberate pace. It’s a specialist focal length, so I’d pair it with a more moderate view for everyday subjects.
