Specialist Note

T1.05 gives you room to work in dim interiors without immediately pushing ISO higher, and it can soften the background when your subject is close and the framing is tight. For a seated interview, focus on the speaker’s eyes and keep the lens open; for a short-film scene, rehearse the subject’s marks and pull focus between them. Manual focus lets you make those changes deliberately, but you’ll need to follow movement yourself. Fast, unpredictable action takes more work. I’d steer this lens toward controlled scenes and available-light video, rather than run-and-gun filming.
