7Artisans 82mm Armor-Pro HD MC-UV Filter
7Artisans 82mm Armor-Pro HD MC-UV Filter | A UV filter for 82mm lenses
A dusty walk or a crowded camera bag is a good moment to have a filter between the outside world and your lens’s front glass. The 7Artisans 82mm Armor-Pro HD MC-UV Filter is a UV filter that also gives you a separate front surface to keep clean. Its 82mm size is the key detail when choosing it: it suits a lens with an 82mm filter thread, so check the marking on the lens rather than its focal length. This makes it relevant to photographers who want a UV filter on a lens with that size fitting, whether it stays on during everyday use or comes out for a particular outing. The product name identifies it as an Armor-Pro HD MC-UV filter; I’d stick to those stated details rather than assume a particular construction or optical performance. It’s a straightforward way to add a filter layer without changing how you use the lens.
Choosing the right size
Look for the filter-size marking on the lens itself. If it reads 82mm, this is the size to consider; a lens with a different filter size needs a filter to match that size. Keep the filter clean, and use the lens cap when you want to cover the front of the lens during storage.
Specialist Note
The 82mm size makes this filter a clear match for a lens marked 82mm, rather than a guess based on the lens’s focal length. I’d use the UV filter as a front layer when dust or frequent handling makes you want a separate surface to clean. The UV designation tells you the filter type; the rest of the name is 7Artisans’ Armor-Pro HD MC-UV designation, so I wouldn’t read extra construction claims into it. It suits someone who wants this specific filter size for regular lens use or a dusty outing. Keep the lens cap handy for storage: a filter is a layer, not a cover.
