8Sinn Lens Adapter Support For Evolution RF To PL Mount To Cage For RED Komodo/X
8Sinn Lens Adapter Support For Evolution RF To PL Mount To Cage For RED Komodo/X | Support for a cage-based lens setup
When you’re building a RED Komodo/X rig around a PL-mount lens, the adapter is one part of the setup that needs a place in the cage arrangement. This 8Sinn lens adapter support is made for that specific job: it’s for the Evolution RF to PL mount adapter and connects to a cage for the RED Komodo/X. It suits camera operators and crew working with that named camera and adapter combination, especially when a caged build is part of the plan. The useful point is its specificity. Rather than being a general-purpose camera accessory, it addresses the support of one named lens adapter in one named camera-and-cage setup. If your Komodo/X build uses the Evolution RF-to-PL adapter, this is the matching support to consider as part of that rig.
Specialist Note
A lens adapter can become one more part to account for when you’re arranging a caged RED Komodo/X build; this support is made for that exact pairing. I’d consider it when your lens setup runs through the 8Sinn Evolution RF to PL mount adapter and you want the adapter included in your cage-based arrangement. For a Komodo/X setup using a PL-mount lens, pair the named adapter with this support and the cage, rather than treating the adapter as a separate item in the build. The limitation is clear: this is for that specific Evolution adapter and camera combination, not a universal support. That focused fit is precisely what makes it relevant to the right rig.
