ACT 0.5 Meters HDMI 4K LSZH Premium High Speed Cable V2.0 HDMI-A Male

ACT 0.5 Meters HDMI 4K LSZH Premium High Speed Cable V2.0 HDMI-A Male | A compact lead for nearby 4K HDMI connections

For a nearby HDMI connection carrying a 4K picture, the ACT 0.5 Meters HDMI 4K LSZH Premium High Speed Cable V2.0 HDMI-A Male gives you a short lead rather than extra cable to coil away. It’s a 0.5-metre HDMI 2.0 cable marked 4K and High Speed, with an HDMI-A male connector designation and LSZH cable type. It makes most sense when the HDMI connection points are close and you want a compact route between them. The title also calls it Premium; the practical details to focus on are its length, HDMI version and connector type. If you’re planning a tight setup, measure the route around the equipment, not just the gap between it. Half a metre is handy when it’s enough, but there’s little slack to spare.

Plan the cable route

A short cable can help keep a nearby connection tidy, but the route matters. Allow for the space taken by the connectors and any turn the cable needs to make around a shelf or the back of equipment. A straight-line measurement between two points may not match the path the cable has to follow. Keep the route relaxed rather than stretching the cable or putting sideways pressure on the connector. That’s simple setup advice, but it’s especially relevant with a compact lead: a little planning can save you from finding out that the sockets are just out of reach once everything is in place. If your connection needs to travel farther, this particular length may not suit the layout.
