ACT 90 Meters HDMI Premium High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable V2.0 HDMI-A Male
ACT 90 Meters HDMI Premium High Speed 4K Active Optical Cable V2.0 HDMI-A Male | Long HDMI reach for fixed installations
Put a screen or display where a shorter cable can’t reach: this ACT cable is 90 metres long, with HDMI 2.0 and 4K in its name. It’s an active optical HDMI cable with an HDMI-A male connector, suited to installations where the cable has to cover a substantial distance. That makes it relevant for a home cinema layout, a meeting room or another setup with equipment and screen far apart. The title identifies the format and connector, but doesn’t specify supported frame rates, audio formats or the devices at either end, so I wouldn’t choose it on those details alone. Its clear purpose is the long run. If your setup calls for an HDMI-A male connection and this length, it gives you a single cable option to consider rather than planning around a short lead and an extension.
Planning a long cable run
Before routing it, map the path from the source device to the screen, including the distance around furniture, through a conduit or along a wall. A straight-line measurement can leave you short once the cable follows the actual route. It’s also worth planning where the cable will enter and exit the installation, so the connection points remain accessible after everything is in place. Keep the route tidy and avoid putting strain on the plug at either end. For a permanent setup, think through the path before fitting anything around it; changing a long cable route later can take more work than measuring it carefully at the start. The connector type and cable length are the practical details to match to your layout. For any requirements beyond those, check that the cable’s stated capabilities suit your particular equipment and use.
