Atomos Micro HDMI To Micro HDMI 50cm ATOMCAB012

Atomos Micro HDMI To Micro HDMI 50cm ATOMCAB012 | A short link for matching ports

When two pieces of equipment need a cable between them, the wrong connector or an awkward length can make a simple setup frustrating. The Atomos Micro HDMI To Micro HDMI 50cm ATOMCAB012 is a cable with Micro HDMI at both ends and a stated length of 50 cm. It’s intended for a connection where both sockets use that connector; the name alone doesn’t tell us which particular devices it suits, so match the port type on each device before choosing it. The short length is the main point here: it gives you a compact option when the connected equipment sits close together, rather than leaving a long spare cable to manage. If you need more reach, this isn’t the cable to choose. For a close connection, though, its purpose is easy to understand and the model number makes it straightforward to identify when you’re comparing accessories.

Choosing a cable length

It’s worth thinking about the cable route as well as the distance between the two connection points. A 50 cm cable can suit equipment arranged side by side, but the actual path may be longer if the cable has to go around a screen, stand or other item. Measure the route you expect to use, rather than only the gap between the devices. Also make sure each end needs Micro HDMI: connector names can be easy to mix up when you’re shopping quickly. This is a straightforward cable choice, but getting those two details right helps avoid ordering a lead that doesn’t fit your setup or reach where you need it to go.
