Dörr Aluminium Gimbal GL-25
Dörr Aluminium Gimbal GL-25 | Smoother footage as you move
Dörr Aluminium Gimbal GL-25 is an aluminium-built gimbal stabiliser, made for people who want smoother footage while moving. It suits vloggers and video makers who film on foot, especially for walk-and-talk clips or shots that follow a moving subject. The gimbal’s role is to steady the camera during movement, making this a more focused option than a support intended simply for static framing. If your videos involve walking, moving through a scene or speaking to camera on the go, that’s where the GL-25 is genuinely at home. It gives you a dedicated tool for those moments rather than asking you to rely on careful handheld technique alone. Think about the kind of footage you make most: if movement is part of the shot, a gimbal stabiliser is relevant; if your work is mostly fixed-position video, its specific purpose may matter less.
Making moving footage work
For a walking vlog, keep your route simple and your framing deliberate; for a moving shot, decide what the camera should follow before you start. Those small choices help keep attention on the subject and make the stabilising role of a gimbal useful to the finished video. The GL-25 is best considered around those moving-camera situations, rather than as an all-purpose answer for every kind of filming.
Specialist Note
As you move, the GL-25 is intended to steady the shot, so you can give more attention to your framing and what you’re saying. I’d point a vlogger towards it for a walk-and-talk piece, or a video maker following a subject through a scene; keep the route and framing simple so the motion stays purposeful. The gimbal stabiliser design is what makes those moving shots its particular job. Its aluminium construction gives it a metal build, a clear detail if that matters to you when choosing a support. I’d think of it as a specialist tool for filming on the move, rather than buying it for video that stays in one position.
