Eminent Black 2 Meter U/UTP CaT6 Patch Cable w/ RJ45 Connectors

Eminent Black 2 Meter U/UTP CaT6 Patch Cable w/ RJ45 Connectors | A short link for nearby network devices

A cable run that’s longer than the space calls for can leave extra length to manage. This Eminent patch cable gives you a two-metre connection for nearby network devices, with RJ45 connectors at the ends. It’s a straightforward option when you need a short cable and the Cat6 U/UTP description matches the cable you’re looking for. The black finish is easy to identify among other leads, though it won’t make a cable disappear against a pale wall or desk. Keep the actual route in mind: the distance between devices isn’t always the same as the length the cable needs to travel. For a simple, close-by connection, two metres is the useful detail here. You get a defined length and connector type, without needing to sort through a long list of extra claims.

Allow for the route, not just the gap

When planning a short cable connection, measure the path the lead will follow rather than only the straight-line distance between the two points. A cable may need to go around the side of a desk or along a wall, and those turns add to the route. Also consider where each device’s RJ45 socket sits; a socket on the far side of a unit can change the length you need. These are small details, but they matter with a fixed-length cable. If the route is close to two metres, this length may suit the layout. If your planned path is longer, a short cable can leave the devices awkwardly positioned. It’s a plain bit of planning, but it saves discovering that after you’ve placed everything.
