Filmsticks ClapperBoard Nano Kit (European Edition)

Filmsticks ClapperBoard Nano Kit (European Edition) | Mark takes clearly on set

Use a clapperboard to give a shot and take a clear marker in front of the camera, with a clap as an audible cue. The Filmsticks ClapperBoard Nano Kit (European Edition) is for film and video crews who want that familiar slate step in their on-set routine. Its title identifies it as the Nano Kit and the European Edition. It’s best suited to the basic, practical job of a clapperboard: making a take easier to identify when footage is reviewed later. That can help connect what was recorded on set with the notes and editing work that follow. A slate won’t replace a shot log, but it gives the crew a shared reference at the start of a take. For a small production, that simple cue can make the handoff from camera to edit a little clearer.

A clear reference from set to edit

On a shoot, the slate is most useful when the crew treats it as part of the routine: bring it into view, mark the take, and make the cue before the action begins. That gives the recorded footage a visible reference, while the clap provides an audible point to find during review. It’s a straightforward step, but it can save time when footage from several takes needs to be sorted. The Filmsticks kit is named for this clapperboard role; the product title doesn’t call out extra functions, so we’d choose it for the slate task itself rather than assume anything beyond that. If your production needs a clear marker at the start of a take, that’s the job this product is named to do.
