Formatt Hitech FC 105mm Superslim Stackable UV 370 Filter
Formatt Hitech FC 105mm Superslim Stackable UV 370 Filter | A slim filter you can stack
Its combination of a superslim profile and a stackable design sets this UV filter apart: it’s made for photographers who want to use a UV filter as part of a filter setup, rather than treating every filter as a separate arrangement. If your lens takes a 105mm filter, the FC is worth considering when you want a UV filter that can sit in a stack. The “UV 370” designation identifies the filter type, while the slim design keeps the filter profile restrained. That can be helpful when you’re building a setup with more than one filter and want to avoid adding unnecessary bulk at the front of the lens. Use it for photography where you want a UV filter in place, or as part of a stack when your chosen setup calls for multiple filters. Its appeal is specific: a large-format filter size, a slim build and stackability in one product.
Specialist Note
First-time UV-filter buyers sometimes assume a filter has to be used on its own; this one is explicitly stackable, so it can join a setup with other filters when you need that arrangement. I’d consider it for a landscape kit built around a lens that accepts 105mm filters, especially if you want to keep the filter profile slim while combining filters. The superslim design helps keep the physical build-up at the front of the lens restrained, and the stackable construction gives you room to arrange a multi-filter setup. Keep the stack to the filters your photograph actually calls for. This is a specialised size, so it suits photographers already working with 105mm filters, rather than someone buying a general-purpose filter size.
