Formatt Hitech FC 52mm Superslim Uncoated Stackable Cir.pol.
Formatt Hitech FC 52mm Superslim Uncoated Stackable Cir.pol. | Control reflections with a slim circular polarizer
The superslim format is the defining choice here: it keeps the filter profile low, which is useful when you want a 52mm circular polarizer without adding a bulky ring to the front of your lens. Formatt Hitech has also made it stackable, so you can combine it with another filter when your setup calls for more than one. This filter suits photographers who want to manage reflections and adjust the appearance of skies or other reflective scenes while shooting. A circular polarizer works by turning the filter to vary its effect; the result depends on the light and the angle you’re photographing from. The uncoated construction is part of this model’s specification, rather than a claim of extra coatings or a particular transmission performance. It’s a focused tool for shaping reflected light, with a slim profile and a 52mm size as its defining practical details.
Specialist Note
Photographers working with shop windows, water, or bright skies are the people I’d point towards this Formatt Hitech. Its 52mm size makes the fit specific: it’s for a lens with a matching filter thread, so do check that detail on your lens. The superslim profile is handy if you want a lower-profile filter at the front of the lens, while the stackable design gives you the option of combining filters rather than treating this as a standalone piece. Turn the circular polarizer as you compose and watch how reflections or sky tone change; the effect varies with your shooting angle. One point to keep in mind: it’s uncoated, so don’t buy it expecting a coated-filter specification.
